I have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy; Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment; Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and
am currently working on obtaining a Diploma in Management.
I have my own Occupational Therapy consultancy business specialising in conducting one off assessments such as workplace; home; aids and equipment; suitable duties plans and work trials.
I also work (part time) with people with a vision impairment (low vision or legally blind) instructing them on how to use adaptive technology with their desktop, laptop, iDevice, Tablet and/or other techno-gadgets they possess.
I am branching out into helping beginners/novices who have some form of technology they're having difficulty operating, such as:
- computer (laptop or desktop)
- smartphone (or even a dumb one)
- iPad or Tablet
- GPS
I have experience training people in how to use programs such as:
- Word
- Outlook
- Internet Explorer
So if you know someone who would benefit from face to face assistance with learning how to use any of the above, have them contact (or you can do it for them) me at
I live on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia and will run the sessions in your home; at the local coffee shop; at the local library or in the park (if it isn't raining).
The sessions will be:
- an hour long
- at a discounted rate of $50 (for April and May 2014)
- adapted to your learning pace and style
There is no pressure to pass exams as the only person you have to impress is you.
I look forward to receiving your email and to meeting you.
All the best
Denise
